Our production relies on energy-efficient infrastructure, minimized waste and regional raw materials — ensuring eco-friendly processes and the highest quality for you to enjoy.
At Läckerli Huus, we are actively committed to environmental protection and sustainable production. A central part of our commitment is the use of renewable energy.
Our entire electricity demand is met by European hydroelectric power plants that provide clean and renewable energy. This electricity is fed directly into the grid.
The origin of our electricity is certified by Swissgrid (HKN-EU), ensuring that it comes exclusively from renewable sources.
Through these measures, we reduce CO2 emissions and promote a sustainable energy supply. This way, you can enjoy our traditional Basler Läckerli and other specialties with a clear conscience.

The Minergie-certified Läckerli Huus boasts excellent thermal insulation and energy-efficient appliances. We continuously upgrade our lighting sources to the energy-saving LED standard. With our central location, large storage facility, and collective transport, we keep transport distances short, thereby reducing CO2 emissions on the roads.
To minimize waste and food waste, Läckerli Huus relies on innovative solutions. Products that are no longer suitable for sale are donated to the following organizations:
We do not dispose of finished products; instead, we utilize them fully—whether for sale, repurposing, or donation projects. Production residues that cannot be reused are used as animal feed.
Our production processes are designed for efficiency. We develop products with minimal packaging, and almost 100 percent of raw materials and packaging materials are recycled.
